HI-TECH was an Australian based company that specialized in C compilers and other development tools. It was founded in 1984 and purchased by Microchip Technology in February of 2009. Microchip Technology focuses on microcontrollers and integrated circuits. After the purchase, HI-TECH’s tools were rewritten to support Microchip’s products.
I picked this ad because of its focus on Australia. It’s good to know that Australia had a booming (?) compiler industry.
